Allido History

Allido Records is a record label and production company founded in 2003 by Mark Ronson and Rich Kleiman. Since Allido's inception, both Mark and Rich have pushed themselves and the company to evolve and mature in an ever-changing industry by staying at the forefront of -- and symbolizing -- the most exciting and innovative music and musical projects.

Allido Records has stayed incredibly busy, signing Australian soul sensation Daniel Merriweather, and DC-bred rapper Wale. While Mark has racked up production credits with artists ranging from Christina Aguilera to Robbie Williams, The Kaiser Chiefs to Lily Allen, and earned three Grammy Awards (including Producer of the Year) for his work on Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black," Rich has fortified a joint-venture deal between Allido Records and Interscope Records, completed countless music supervision projects, and joined Jay-Z's new Live Nation-sponsored company, Roc Nation, as Head of New Business Development.

2009 has been a definitive year for Allido Records with several new releases: Daniel Merriweather's Ronson-produced debut album "Love+War" has already been released in the UK, reaching #2 on the UK charts, and will see a Fall 2010 US release date.

Wale's debut album "Attention: Deficit," catapulted by his breakthrough single "Chillin" featuring Lady Gaga, will be out Nov. 10, 2009, featuring production by Cool and Dre, Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, Sean C and LV, Mark Ronson and more.

Allido also released The Rumble Strips’ album "Welcome to the Walk Alone" produced entirely by Mark Ronson.

Mark himself will re-enter the studio to work on his third untitled album after winning the Best British Male Solo Artist Brit Award for his second album "Version." "Version," overall, spent 45 weeks in the UK Top 75, with 10 weeks in the top 10 and was certified double platinum in the UK for sales of over 600,000 copies.

The sky is the limit for Allido Records, 2009 and beyond.
